Dear Ate Helen, something unfair happened last month in our team. There is this agent that is a bit close to our TL. She tried resigning due to “stress,” but the TL managed to convince her to go on extended leave first. What I don’t get is that this girl is not even that good, and that there were some agents in the team who left na dapat, sila yung inoferan ng extended leave option, so that they get convinced to stay instead. I want to confront our TL, this favoritism seems so unfair to me. -Sammy, Pasig BPO
Dear Sammy, unfortunately, favoritism is one of the things in a company that is very hard to prove. :o(
From your email, it really looks unfair that the good agents are just allowed to resign, while those that are close to the heart of the TL are offered to just go on “extended leave.”
My advice to you is simple: try to transfer to another account instead. TL or managers who do not run things fairly are doomed to suffer in the long term. Imagine, all the good agents leave – what will happen to your service quality? The CSAT scores of your team will simply go down and before you know it, the client pulls out, and everyone suffers.
Just file for a transfer (if possible), or if you are brave enough, find another job in another call center, one that is run more professionally. Good luck! –Ate H.
